MP Breakfast Connections with Valerie Jerome

February 6, 2026

Dear friends and neighbours,

We’re excited to invite you to the much-anticipated MP Breakfast Connections with MP Wade Grant.

The MP Breakfast Connections series provides an opportunity for Vancouver Quadra residents to come together, connect with their MP, and celebrate our community. Each breakfast will focus on a theme important to our riding, feature a special guest speaker, and create a relaxed space for meaningful conversation.

This format is a little different from past Vancouver Quadra breakfasts. We’re trying smaller gatherings to create space for more personal, in-depth conversation and meaningful dialogue between residents and their MP.

Our first breakfast, in recognition of Black History Month, will be held on February 18th.  Doors will open at 8:00 AM, the program will begin at 8:30 AM, and the event will conclude at 9:30 AM. We are honoured to welcome Valerie Jerome as our guest speaker. An Olympian, retired teacher, environmental activist, and award-winning author, Valerie’s story reflects a deep commitment to justice, community, and historical truth. From her participation in the Rome 1960 Olympics to classrooms and international stages, she has dedicated her life to advocacy, athletics, and education.

Space is limited to 40 guests. Please RSVP early. Attendance will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. The RSVP link will close once the event is full, and location details will be shared with confirmed attendees.

If you RSVP and later find you’re unable to attend, please let us know so we can offer your spot to another resident. Only individuals whose names appear on the RSVP list will be admitted, and we ask that each person submit their own RSVP.

Join us for a meaningful morning of conversation, community connection, and breakfast as we celebrate Black History Month and the enduring contributions of Black Canadians.

We look forward to welcoming you to the first of many MP Breakfast Connections events.

Warmly,
